QNT, BTW and SUI After the Rally: Can Key Support Levels Hold as October Approaches?

Web3
Updated: 2026-09-29 08:59

In the last week of September 2026, the crypto market showed a clear structural split. Bitcoin and Ethereum both logged roughly 2% declines on September 28. Meanwhile, Quant (QNT), Bitway (BTW), and Sui (SUI) surged against the trend, posting seven-day gains of over 300%, 78%, and 30%, respectively, placing them near the top of the gainers list.

However, once September 29 arrived, this strength did not continue. Bitcoin fell below $83,000, dragging altcoins lower across the board: QNT’s 24-hour drop exceeded 9%, BTW fell more than 11%, and SUI slid more than 5%. Overbought indicators and weakening trading volume pointed to a core question: after the earlier rally had effectively "spent" much of its momentum, could key support levels absorb the selling pressure?

QNT: Exchange collaboration sparks a 300% rally; $227 is the key short-term test level

QNT’s upside move is clear and traceable. On September 24, the U.S. clearinghouse The Clearing House (TCH) selected Quant as the technology provider for its tokenized deposit clearing and settlement network. The network is supported by 25 major U.S. banks, and Quant plays an interoperability and orchestration role within it. The same day, banks including Barclays, HSBC UK, and NatWest completed real-time customer trades for tokenized pound sterling deposits through Quant’s infrastructure.

The news propelled QNT from around $64 sharply higher. During the session, it briefly topped $373, then retraced by about 27% to roughly $271. As of September 29 (Beijing time), according to Gate Market data, QNT latest price was about $246.1, with a 24-hour decline of 9.53%. Total market cap was about $2.821 billion, ranking 21st. Even with a notable single-day drop, its gains over the past seven days were still as high as 338.94%, and over the past 30 days were 380.16%.

From a technical structure perspective, analyst EGRAG Crypto sees $227 as QNT’s key testing level. After breaking above $165 and $227, the token surged to around $371. Then it pulled back, leaving long upper wicks on the candlestick chart. If price holds above $227, it would suggest buyers are still willing to trade at higher levels. If it breaks below $227 into the $200 area, it could trigger a liquidity trap. For deeper support, $165 is the next important level. If that level is lost, $115 and around $75 may return to the spotlight.

The RSI reached an extreme overbought reading of 91 last week, but has since eased to 86. Still, it remains far above the December 2024 peak near 78, implying that the release of overbought pressure may not be complete.

The key variables for QNT’s next move are timing and expectations around the TCH network. The TCH network is not expected to officially open for access until the first half of 2027, and the current price already reflects that longer-term anticipation to a certain extent. On-chain analysis also shows that increased institutional usage does not automatically reduce QNT’s circulating supply or create sustained upside pressure, since the total authorization required is far smaller than the available total QNT supply. Going forward, QNT likely needs new catalysts or truly substantial institutional usage data to sustain an implied valuation premium.

BTW: Double bearish divergence in RSI after all-time highs; the "trumpet" pattern needs a direction

Bitway (BTW) set an all-time high of around $1.43 during the last week of September. Its weekly gain at one point reached 75%, and its market cap rose to about $3.7 billion. But as of September 29, according to Gate Market data, BTW was trading at about $1.1908, down more than 11.28% over the past 24 hours. Its seven-day gain has narrowed to roughly 29.60%.

On the daily chart, BTW is trading within an expanding "trumpet" pattern. External Fibonacci extension levels point to two target price zones: $1.69 and $2.14, implying potential upside of roughly 27% and 61%. The first support lies near $0.80, slightly above the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement level. A daily candlestick on September 26 already tapped that area and bounced. If the pullback deepens further, around $0.50 could form deeper support, sitting slightly below the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement level.

The key technical risk BTW faces now is RSI’s double bearish divergence. Price printed new highs, but RSI failed to make a corresponding new high. This divergence pattern often appears when momentum fades. Analysts previously noted that trading volume has been steadily weakening since August, further reinforcing the view that upside momentum may be running out.

From a catalyst standpoint, one identifiable driver behind this leg of BTW’s rally is Binance Wallet’s "Booster Season 5" event, which ends on October 2. After the event ends, if there is no fresh ecosystem catalyst, the price may enter a longer consolidation period.

SUI: Fibonacci retracement after hitting $1.25 resistance; Basecamp could be a key variable

Sui (SUI) started its rally after the Hashi protocol went live. Hashi is a decentralized Bitcoin collateral system launched by the Sui Foundation. It allows native BTC to be used as collateral for DeFi products on the Sui chain without needing to bridge. The protocol manages collateral status through a multisig and MPC signing system. The testnet has processed more than 1.1 million BTC deposits and 165,000 withdrawals.

SUI’s price has climbed steadily from its summer lows. The 200-day simple moving average (SMA) remains far below the current price, only around $0.85. On the daily chart, price was capped after testing the 0.786 Fibonacci retracement level at $1.25 and then pulled back. As of September 29 (Beijing time), according to Gate Market data, SUI was trading at about $1.1355, down 5.42% over the past 24 hours. Total market cap was about $4.554 billion.

The Fibonacci support levels below are clear. The 0.618 retracement corresponds to about $1.12, the 0.382 retracement to about $0.94, and the 0.236 retracement to about $0.82. Among these, $1.12 is the first key testing level. During intraday trading on September 29, SUI briefly dipped to $1.12, and the day’s low touched $1.13, suggesting sell pressure is concentrating around this area.

From the RSI perspective, SUI has not yet shown a bearish divergence. RSI remains around 70, but it is trending more gently. If it can reclaim $1.25, it may aim for the May high at $1.42.

The main near-term catalyst is the Sui Basecamp 2026 conference, scheduled for October 7–8 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, running alongside TOKEN2049. The agenda focuses on an "Agentic Economy," covering topics such as instant settlement, autonomous payments, private transactions, and post-quantum security. Kostas Chalkias, co-founder and chief cryptographer at Mysten Labs, will perform a live TPS speed test on the main stage, trying to beat Sui’s prior 6M+ TPS record. If the conference delivers ecosystem progress or product releases beyond expectations, it could provide SUI with fresh short-term momentum.

Macro backdrop: Early "altcoin season" signals appear, but they’re not confirmed yet

The pullbacks of the three tokens are not isolated events. They are occurring within broader market adjustments. As of September 29, Bitcoin was testing the lower edge of its prior range near $83,100. Crypto total market cap was around $2.86 trillion.

The altcoin season index is about 62—up sharply from 50 a week earlier—but it is still below the 75 threshold typically required to confirm an "altcoin season." Cloud, chief analyst at Huobi HTX, noted that during periods of tightening marginal liquidity, capital tends to concentrate in the most certain top assets. Altcoins lack incremental funding to absorb the rotation, and leverage is typically heavier, which magnifies pullbacks. Until the week’s PCE and Nonfarm Payroll data are released, this divergence is likely to persist.

Glassnode data shows that current altcoin spot trading volume is about 4x Bitcoin spot volume, reaching the highest level since September 2025. This suggests funds are accelerating into higher-volatility assets via rotation. Whether this rotational momentum can last depends on whether Bitcoin can hold steady at key support levels.

Conclusion

QNT, BTW, and SUI each delivered strong performance in the last week of September, with clear catalyst logic behind each move. QNT ties to real integration into traditional financial infrastructure. BTW reflects momentum trading driven by liquidity. SUI benefits from the rollout of a Bitcoin collateral protocol and expectations for ecosystem activity. But the shared issue is that their short-term gains have already substantially "priced in" the realized catalysts. The collective pullback on September 29 is a correction of that overextension.

The key variable going forward is not whether prices bounce immediately, but whether each token can complete a sustained hold of its critical support levels with volume confirmation. For QNT at $227, BTW at the $0.80 Fibonacci support, and SUI at the $1.12 retracement level—these are the core observation windows for judging whether this pullback is a "healthy consolidation" or a "trend reversal." The Sui Basecamp on October 7–8 and the Binance Wallet event ending on October 2 also provide trackable event markers for near-term sentiment shifts.

FAQ

Q1: To what level does QNT’s pullback count as effective support?

From a technical structure perspective, $227 is the key testing level identified by analyst EGRAG Crypto and an important reference point for this breakout. If price holds above $227 and trading volume stabilizes, the breakout structure remains valid. If it breaks below that level into the $200 area, it could trigger a deeper retracement toward $165. Current price is within this testing zone.

Q2: What does BTW’s RSI divergence mean?

A bearish RSI divergence occurs when price makes new highs but RSI fails to make a corresponding new high, reflecting that upside momentum is weakening. BTW has shown a double bearish divergence. Combined with trading volume that has been steadily declining since August, it becomes harder to sustain the current pace of the rally in the near term. More likely, it will shift toward range-bound consolidation. $0.80 is the first reference level for judging how deep the consolidation could go.

Q3: What is SUI’s Hashi protocol? How does it affect price?

Hashi is a decentralized Bitcoin collateral system launched by the Sui Foundation. It allows native BTC to be used as collateral for lending on the Sui chain and for stablecoin minting, without needing to bridge BTC to another chain. The testnet has processed more than 1.1 million BTC deposits, but mainnet deployment still requires waiting for security audits to be completed. The current price reflects expectations more than actual on-chain revenue at this stage.

Q4: How can you judge the overall direction of altcoins in the first week of October?

The altcoin season index is about 62, and it has not yet reached the 75 confirmation threshold. Whether Bitcoin can stabilize around $83,000 is the core variable. If BTC stops falling and rebounds, reactions from QNT, BTW, and SUI near their support levels can serve as reference signals for whether capital is rotating back in. The Sui Basecamp on October 7–8 and this week’s PCE and Nonfarm Payroll data releases are the key events to watch.
